Re: 89 Marathon Rear Springs and Shock questions..
Hey ames...what part of Michigan are you from?
The 14" springs I bought were just right with the 4" lift kit. Stock springs are 10". I did buy the 275lb rate. I put a reat seat on and with that spring there isn't too much sag when you load a couple of extra peeps on the back. Although if I had to do it over, I would probably go with a slightly stiffer spring. |

Re: 89 Marathon Rear Springs and Shock questions..
id love to see pics of your shocks front and rear
im starting on a badly sagging 85 and want 5 inches or more lift,as in the future it will have a big block..it runs for now and mostly searching for info on the rear marathon set ups..id love to lift it more, like in your pic..im gonna have to get springs anyhow.. i suppose if i lift the rear 6 inches, would i need to make drop down brackets for the swing arm? you guys see where i will be headed with this build so any info to save me time and stress is much appreciated i also need info on low end torque how to..just the smaller belt ?is it that simple? hear rattle seems to be from cluth at high speeds also? |
