Hi! I posted earlier that I have the cart cranking, but I have no start even though I have a good spark and am getting gas to the cylinder. I put the gap at .30. I cleared the cylinder (the plug was wet with gas). Automobiles are so much simpler to make work...why is that? LOL

The. 030 gap is correct. I wouldn't use any plug but the ngk.

The NGK is the correct spec plug. It is not unknown for a plug to fail under pressure so I would toss the Champion and use the new NGK

I agree. I gauged the plug at .30, cleaned every contact I could find and I still can't get this thing to fire. I am very frustrated at this point. I am running low on things to check.

Sounds like my cart lol. I haven't gotten to read the whole thread but... You might try testing your crank seals. Spray WD40 or starting fluid at the crankshaft that comes out of the engine while the engine is cranking. If it fires up, its your seals. Be sure its off the ground when you do this.

With the key off and your multimeter set to ohms connect one lead to the negative of the battery. One small connector should have some black grounds on it, connect the other meter lead here and you should see zero or close to zero ohms. If you do switch the meter back to 12 volts and connect it to the other small stud on the solenoid (leaving the other lead still on the battery negative). Turn on the key and depress the throttle. Do you see 12 volts?

Dave
I'm went thru this process and I'm only getting 3 volts when I go from the small stud. What does that mean.
