EZGO TXT Engine Rebuild

Just a quick update.

I got the head rebuilt and the machine shop said it looked pretty good to start with so, for fear that I'll still have problems after putting it back on, we pulled the motor completely out.

After opening up the case today:

The rods were seized to the crank
Oil was black and like water
Bunch of crap in the case including sludge
Looks like the side cover gasket sucked in and dirt got into the case
The crank has scores and burn marks on the journals where it was seized

It appears that there is no aluminum from the rod stuck to the crank journals. It's more heat wear and scores from the dirt so, I don't think cleaning the crank with muratic acid will fix it.

I ordered this kit from ebay but, it doesn't come with a crank.
