Default Using STA-BIL to offset Ethanol ?

I've been using Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer for years in all my small engines. Now I see that they have come out with Sta-Bil Ethanol-Treatment.

My question. Do you think that the standard Sta-Bil works good enough to fight the ethanol damage to our golf carts, or should I now start using the newest treatment?

I don't use ethanol... You lose HP with the stuff. How many BTU are in gasoline? And how many BTU in ethanol? Not to mention that every mechanic I know says the stuff is bad news.

Here it is mostly max 10%. The only real problems come from companies who use small 2 cycle powered equipment. It has been proven to eat away at the fuel lines over time. The repair shops don't mind it...gives them job security.

I use aviation 100LL in all my small engines. No alcohol! It has good shelf life too! $5.06 a gallon at our local airport. I have eliminated all my fuel pump, hoses, and carb problems from alcohol eating up my stuff! I'd use it in my vehicles too, but I can't quite afford that right now!

The fuel where i live has 10% ethanol in it all year round. I use startron by starbrite. Its in a blue bottle. Kinda spendy but it works.
