Dmontgomery, I would go ahead and order the shorter belt. Its not too pricey, and would be a good way to eliminate the possibility of it being a belt issue. Once the new belt has been broken in (again, a couple tanks) you will likely have your answer. Heck, you may even notice marked change as soon as its installed. No matter what the outcome, you will have eliminated a possibility or eliminated the problem all together. If the new belt doesn't help the issue, look to your clutches.

I noticed to my starter belt is slipping, pretty bad. I ordered a new one of those too! When I push the pedal it slips on belt for 2 or 3 seconds before it catches and starts turning! I'm think this could be pumping gas to the motor while its not running maybe causing the revving belt slip.... It can't be helping it any, the engine fires right up after it does finally catch, I will install the new belts I ordered a new air filter and exhaust gasket too will post the results

I got a bunch of new parts on the way, I think my air filter is stopped up, so I went ahead and ordered a new one. I ordered a dayco hp3004 belt, new brake shoes. New starter belt, exhaust gasket my home made one lasted 1 week lol I noticed my starter belt slips 2 or 3 seconds the turns its adjusted all the way out. Could this be part of my take off problem? When you press the gas it's pumping fuel then when it fires its just enough to make it rev and jerk? Anyway any help on replacing the old parts with new will be put to good use and passed on lol oh yeah forgot to mention my little shopping spree landed me in the dog house hope its worth it lmao
