Going gas . . . What do I need know?
I currently have a EZ GO TXT electric I'm looking to sell/trade to go gas. Does anyone have any recommendations for carts, engines, and general "need to know" information. The electric threads has helped me in the past . . . Looking for some direction from you gassers!

Re: Going gas . . . What do I need know?
As far as need to know stuff of course all basic rules for gas engines apply here. Besides that, clutches can throw you some weird curveballs as far as symptoms. You might think engine but it can be clutch. Take that oiler off, plug the intake where it went, and destroy that damnnable thing as hard as you can. Don't even bother driving it unless you can premix fuel. Plenty of engines get screwed because you don't know an oiler isn't working until it's too late. If it's an old engine, replace the crank seals. Bad seals can make it run lean and again burn the engine up. If you're at all handy with mechanics you're better off. The guys here are very knowledgeable and can walk you through about anything. Get familiar with the various manuals that are on this and other sites.
