I think the govenor is the limiter, how fast did you get it going?

I agree, definately don't want to cook the thing. I heard that limiter would make it sputter and start cutting out if you were revving too high. It's doing 23, 24 now and I didn't screw it in all the way and it doesn't sound scary by any means, just doesn't govern back as bad as it used to. It will definately gain or pull away from the rental carts in town now. I can't believe the cable should have as much slop as it does though, seems kinda strange to me but maybe that is how it's supposed to be since it's spring loaded. I ordered a pair of 2" spacers for the rear to give a little better look and stance, figured it couldn't hurt stability with people in the back either.

Just be carefull with the rpm, I have had about 15 carts and never broke a seal on a governor, never bought one with a broken seal either, with larger tires they are fast enough for me. (but I'm an old man)
