Anybody found a cheaper pickup coil that will work with the HEI conversion?

Re: Pickup Coil
Are you looking for a pickup coil or COIL? If it's the coil I used a coil from a 76 dodge van round type with bracket some has used nova 6cyl and such. Make sure the coil your using is NOT a resistor coil but a 12v coil as no resistor is needed with the HEI setup. Hope that helps.

Re: Pickup Coil
I am looking for the pulsar pickup coil under the flywheel. Seems like I read somewhere that you can use a pickup from a weedeater or something like that which was a lot cheaper than the 150+ dollars they want for a replacement one.
