2010 TXT charge receptacle question

does anyone know what the black box on the gray wire that connects to the battery is? had a guy try and use a aftermarket generic 48v charger he bought and now the 3 vehicles he hooked it up too no longer charge with a EZ go charger just trying figure out if that has something to do with it. BTW already have figured out there is a fuse in the receptacle connecting main power to the BLUE wire which will cause it not to run and bypassed that. thanks in advance

Lil black box is a temp sensor if it is damaged or corroded, it will need replaced. Fullriver battery sells the temp sensor without the whole charge socket.

As of 5/16/2018, fullriver does not sell the temp sensor.
