Default Cheap upgrades

I'm looking for cost friendly upgrades to get more mph out of my 2012 drive. Right now other than lift and tires the cart is stock. Any ideas and help is greatly appreciated.

The first thing that I would look at to get more speed out of the drive, is to have the controller set to speed code 4. Which will bring it to 19mph, the most you can get out of a stock Drive. If you are already at speed code 4 and are wanting more speed I would check with the sponsors here for options. Try using a GPS speedometer to see how fast it is going if it isnt right around 19 you could take it to a dealer to have speed code 4 installed.

I gps'd it yesterday afternoon and it was consistently at 20-21. I was hoping there were small things I could change out or tinker with without have to upgrade to a performance kit right now. Boss lady has halted anymore golf cart purchase for the time being lol. It's a gas

LOL!! "Speed code 4" only exists on ClubCar electrics..... Not Yamaha gas or electric.

Yamaha with moric controller (late G22 & drive) are unlocked with a 6 digit password unique to each controller. Then this grid is available to adjust speed & regen. All the letters are 19mph modes (and not present on locked controllers). Higher on the grid is more regen, further to the right is more speed. You select a square with the regen & speed desired. Can be adjusted with a PDA or now a laptop. The numbers do NOT represent mph you will get (not 1-25 mph, lowest speed is about 11mph, highest is 19mph). The pda software & PTV unlock codes are only available & installed @ yamaha dealer.
