Default Jakes shifter for G2

Has anyone tried the Jakes shifter for the G14 on the G2? The video on Jakes site, the stock shifters look alot alike. Or, has any one made a shifter for the G2?
I just went through cheesy thread. Gears are turnin

Had the same questioned asked by the owner of a G9 I'm putting a 23HP CCP kit and Jakes long travel. My awnser..."any thing is posssible", but with the "tilting seat" and the G2/G9 shifter knob also holds the shaft for shifting the cables, unlike G14 and up were the shaft sticks thru the body and the knob just slides on. Probably a better idea is to follow Ron, TheNewGuy's approach. Sorry, second picture didn't work

The G2 project was an awesome read. I have not the patience to be that good, especially when mine is parked outside and across town.
