Re: G16A Rear Diff CRACKED
You can tell the grease may of save them. But not bearing. We cut splines for aerospace they us them when joining shafts together. The run around 1100 rpm. So if you have bad teeth the others will work harder. Old school way to check them is put it back together make sure they dry and get some lay out blueing. Put on gears and run them by hand. You will see the high and low spots.the main gear is a good size one. Is it a lifted cart or stock. I know cars they shim gears you mix up shims it will not be good

Re: G16A Rear Diff CRACKED
I will take pictures tomorrow of everything So that bearing is for the governor? Hmmm... I can just bypass all of that? Well the new shaft came in yesterday so I have 7 days to return it. Probably will keep it because the splines on the old shaft are a little Gritty,... I think the shaft got the worst of it... I will post pics of the gears tomorrow evening, and have you guys that know what your looking at it tell me what you think,...

Re: G16A Rear Diff CRACKED
The shaft will its smaller. Plus with bad bearing I didn't help look for steps on other gears on the faces were the other gear rides in. Most gears are rough cut heat tread then they grind them to size.

Re: G16A Rear Diff CRACKED
Didn't take long for those needle bearings to do that.... it only grinded for maybe a minute before I pulled it back in the garage and shut her down. So all of this was caused from the Governor Bearing?... Stupid G word..
