GE Motor Speed Sensor Rebuild
I have read several post on rebuilding the speed sensor for the ADM motor but haven't read anything on the GE motor sensors. Are they repairable, also.If so dose the same part apply to the 102265601 - Speed Sensor, GE Motor, IQ System?

Re: GE Motor Speed Sensor Rebuild
I'm gonna be honest, I don't believe I have ever heard of anyone rebuilding a speed sensor. I'm interested in learning about it...

Re: GE Motor Speed Sensor Rebuild
There have been some posts on the past, both sensors use the same "Allegro A1203 LUA-T hall effect sensor".
http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...012-ND/1006587You need to grind off the old one with a dremel tool, solder the wires to the new one, place it flush on the bottom of the plastic assembly with the hall effect chip "branding side" facing the magnet and fill the cavity with epoxy. Pin 1 - Red wireI have never done it myself. |

Re: GE Motor Speed Sensor Rebuild
Good luck. It should work just fine if you get the new sensor in the proper place. These speed sensors are dead simple. Hall effect chip and a magnet with 4 or 8 poles on it.
