Red face 1991 Ignition Coil Need Replacement Help

I need a new ignition coil for my 91 gas club car. Issue is, all the replacement 1015925 parts have a TWO wire hookup...Problem is my old part had THREE wires on the connector (Brown White Red) AND a black wire that connected separately to a wire on the engine.

I cannot find the 4 wire coil anywhere, again they are all 2 wires now.

How can I make this work, how can I get my coil replaced?

:oops :

I believe this one's a 4-wire:

Thanks springbok, that looks like it...But, just confused I definitely have a 1991 cart, and the ignition coil shown on your link is for a pre 1990 club car and is a different part number than my 91...Just a little on confused on why this is the case?

if it will work in my cart I will use.

Have you owned your cart since it was new? It's possible that someone may have just installed the older coil on it. I believe the older coils don't have an internal rev limiter, which makes them somewhat more desirable for some cart owners.

I'm not 100% sure what the concrete differences are between the 1984-1989 coils and the 1990-1991 coils. I thought I remember hearing someone here tell me once that you can easily put an older coil on a newer motor, but not a newer coil on an older motor. I believe the difference has something to do with the rev limiter.
