Carburetor gaskets
Soaked/cleaned carburetor but gaskets are shot. Why would a set of gaskets cost as much if not more than a new carburetor? Any suggestions on where to find gaskets for the 290D reasonable? Do you make your own? Merry Christmas!

Re: Carburetor gaskets
Interested in the replies on this one...
I am restoring a 1929 Chevrolet and make 90% of my own gaskets from the old ones as templates. Various Materials as well, all from Fel-Pro. I digitize them on my computer that way I can print out a template later on if needed. Cut them out using my X-Acto knife then punch the holes, if required via Nice Hole Punch Set I picked up. |

Re: Carburetor gaskets
i'll probably go to my local dealer who I shoot with. I tried to get them off but the crap in the fuel acts like glue and they just didn't want to come off. I checked every sponsor site but shipping was crazy and some didn't have all the gaskets. The carb is the last thing to put back on to test my new CCP clutches and belts.
