Default New to Me 2008 Club Car DS

well some of you know I recently picked up a 2008 Club Car DS

plan on giving it a once over here soon, and cleaning it up.

I found and downloaded the Owners Manual !!
I am wondering where is the Best Place to get a Service/ Repair Manual ??

Also there was only ONE key, see that you can buy them online, but are they keyed per cart/ serial number or just a generic key, one fits all kind of thing ??

I think you’re correct the keys are all the same. Some people swap the ignition switch for a non keyed alike switch. As for the manuals, check site sponsors websites or search this forum as some have posted links to manuals online. There’s tons of information here and these guys have helped me with my new to me cart. I paid 1600 for a 2001 and have already had clutch machined, new belts, hoses, lights etc. just too dang cold to work on it now without a garage! Have fun and congrats on the new cart!

Check with David at Revolution Golf Cars, He should be able to help getting you an MS manual!
Make note... Club Car hard bound paper manuals aren't cheap, I spent a good $175+ for 4 of my manuals from a CC dealer.
  • Full 2007 DS MS manual
  • 2007 DS FE290 supplement
  • 2007 DS FE350 supplement
  • 2007 DS Illustrated Parts List
(All hard bound, and the best money I ever spent!)

Attached is a pdf of the Illustration Parts List for your cart!

As for extra keys...

The aftermarket Club Car keys are ILCO (brand) CC1 (key) and they're pre-cut,
ILCO = "ILL-KO" (Independent Lock Company)
You can check with some of your local Locksmiths, or stores that cut a LOT of keys to see if they have them.
Make note... the aftermarket CC1 keys aren't cheap even for a locksmith like me! so, $2.50 each isn't that unreasonable!
and FOR SURE David will have keys if you decide to get a MS manual through him!

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info

saw the following when searching around
2008 Club Car DS Parts Manual 1033730-02
2008 Club Car DS Service Manual 103373103

I know I have the Fe290 Engine, so need to get the Supplement

No... you won't need to get the supplement if you get the full manual!
(The supplement is just a partial of the full manual)

I bought both the 290, and the 350 supplement manuals because my cart is sort of a cross breed!

My Lynx is a factory designed hunting vehicle... (Basically a DS, with a lift and an FE350...)
so I didn't need the FE290 supplement manual, because the full manual has all of it,
But, I bought it anyway... not knowing any better!

And, I'll guess that you want a hard bound copy of the Parts list?

Honestly I found out i use the digital/ pdf a lot more.

like on my 1929 I have the paper copies of the Master Parts List, Owners Manual, and Repair Manual. I ended up scanning them all into PDFs with OCR. This way I can do a search and find to get what I am looking for. Also allows me to print out a paper copy, write all over it, highlight, etc.

Can you get any of these in PDF ?? or will it be buy paper and then scan them in ??

Looking a little closer at the engine, i noticed a few zip ties that look to holding a cable in place. is this the throttle cable ?? looks like the plastic clip or such that holds the cable in place is broken.

is this a easy fix, or pretty tedious and time consuming ??

I bought the books because I wanted everything right there with me while I was working!

1) I'm not sure about pdf MS manuals, I'd imagine so, David would know!

2) I attached the pdf for the parts list for your cart in my first post above.
(free on the internet, I have LOTS of them!)

3) The cable itself has "snap in" retainers, and yours is broken, so you'll have to replace the cable!
If you download the parts manual that I attached, on page 8-8 shows the cable, and page 8-9 will have the description, and part number,
that particular cable is a pretty quick and easy fix!

Thanks Lockman1
I downloaded that Parts List you posted and placed it in my Files as soon as I saw it !!

I am the same way, want all the information I can get for what I got !! this way I should be covered in any situation, and then everyone on here for clarification and assistance !! seems to make life easier.

I have on Hand in PDF:
--2008 DS Golf Cars Electric and Gasoline Owner’s Manual........103372902
--DS Golf Car Optional Equipment Illustrated Parts List.............103209032
--2008 DS Golf Cars Illustrated Parts List................................103373002
--Serial Number Prefixes Club Car..........................................

So I need to get:
--2008 Club Car DS Parts Manual...........................................1 033730-02
--2008 Club Car DS Service Manual........................................1033 73103

that Should cover me in way of Manuals and Reference Material??
you say the Fe290 is covered in the other Manuals

Obviously I've mistaken the Parts "manual" with the Parts "list"!

I don't know why you'd need a parts manual, the illustrated list has everything you'd need... but that's your call!
