What is your current top speed?
How much slack do you have in the drive belt? Do you have adjustable jets in your carb? I was curious what my 0-30 times were. I felt my engine was jetted well - it didn't bog, backfire or stumble at all. But I was able to take 5 seconds off my time by richening the main jet. Most of these engines come jetted very lean. Maybe the lack of torque is just really the engine isn't making all the power it can. Just trying to think of the easy and cheap things to check first. |
