Theft Repair
I have a 1995 Marathon cart that someone stole the batteries and cut some wires. I have repaired all but a blue wire from micro switch 2. The wiring charts I have shows only 1 blue wire to the switch but this one has 2. The second wire is the one cut. I have NO solenoid click

Re: Theft Repair
This looks like a Medalist, blue goes to key switch. Where is the 2nd blue you have connected going?

Re: Theft Repair
On micro 2 the one wire is to the key switch but there is another blue wire on the other side of micro 2 as well as the red junction wire to micro 4. The blue wire goes back towards the controller/solenoid area

Re: Theft Repair
Is it possible that wire would go to 36V at the battery pack? It reaches the battery pack

Re: Theft Repair
I am thinking this wire is in place of the reed switch which this cart does not have. I think I should connect this with straight to the battery pack 36+. What do you all think??

Re: Theft Repair
Here are 2 pictures from my 1994 Medalist before I upgraded to 48volt.
The 1st blue wire ran from ignition switch to F&R micro switch. The 2nd blue wire ran from the F&R micro switch and ran to the positive side of the solenoid. |

Re: Theft Repair
The micro switch on the driver's side does get 36v + feed... any battery source is good. If your running a new wire I prefer to land it on the solenoid big post with the main battery + cable... there is less corrosion there than the other end of the cable.

Re: Theft Repair
Thanks to all. I already run it to the battery pack before Scotty reply and also found a cut ground wire from controller B- to the solenoid. Repaired and drove it around the block
Thanks Again |
