Default 48v Series Motor Questions

I've struggled so much with getting my cart to a point where it's reliable. And just when I thought I did, last weekend, the 36v motor stopped on me due to the brushes. I did get it running but I think it's time to just bite the bullet.

Stats:
'84 Club Car upgraded to Kawasaki Rear End (Self Adjusting Brakes and 10-spline)
48v Pack
700a FSIP Controller
23" Tires
All-Sports 6" Lift
Rear Seat
Replaced all the Shock Eyes with Polyurethane
New Urethane A-arm and Leaf Spring Bushings
Homemade HD rear springs (took helper springs from another set)
2 gauge Excelene Wire throughout the cart

Now for the fun part. I have looked around and have a few motors in mind.

Admiral MOT-A1: Listed as 10hp 4700 rpms ($435 shipped)
D&D 170-003-0002: Listed as 10.1hp 5100 rpms ($400 shipped)
D&D 170-007-0002: Listed as 11.5hp 5800 rpms ($435 shipped)
D&D 170-011-0002: Listed as 11.1hp 5550 rpms ($410 shipped)

I want to stay under $475 shipped and want everyone's opinions on the above choices or other options that fit the bill.

Are any of them that much better than the others? Current motor is 36v 2800rpm that does 18-20mph on flat with approx. 3800rpm.

Thanks in advance for all your opinions.

I have had great luck with the A1 series and the Plum Quick motors (you can call them up). Haven't used D&D but know lots of people who have and no big complaints I know of...

To be honest, I would discuss it in detail with my source. Tell him what your usage will be, your long term plans, and let them help you select the right one for your needs and goals... Here are 2 below that are site sponsors and deal with lots of motors and upgrades.

Dave Hicks (TahoeDawgZ71) - Revolution Golf Cars https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/motors

and

scottyb - Carts Unlimited - http://www.cartsunlimited.net/motors.html

Not to take away from the sources listed above, but Vic at D&D was very informative and asked a lot of questions to narrow it down. I ended up with a "not listed" or "special wind" motor that would best suit my needs. It has been great.

I sent an email to D&D last night.

I was hoping there would be some good debates going on as to what motors people believe in and why. Guess things are more set in stone than I thought.

YOUR ideal motor may not be the perfect choice for some others. Since you are limited by available energy from the batts, [unlike gassers], you want one that maximizes performance based on weight of the cart, tire size/ gear ratio, tire type, speed or torque, on or off road, hills or flatland, mud or snow, towing ability and the range needed. I am sure I have left other parameters out and other members will surely add

I mean I agree with you. It's just usually people will line up to back up what they sell or what they bought. I thought Scotty from Carts Unlimited would get on and sell me on the MOT-A1 or David try to sell me on a D&D.

Thanks

They can tell you a thing or two, but the site sponsor rules limit them posting too much for their own sales gains so they are very careful about how it is perceived. You can always call them on Monday and talk to them....

I think you know what I mean, not make a sale but to encourage my choice. In the end I'm the one who choose what I buy and from whom.

I vote for the Admiral A1. They've been a solid choice and I'd put one in my own cart.
