Default 90 DS replacement clutch?

I'm looking for a replacement clutch for a 1990 DS. What can I use as a direct replacement? What's the most cost effective way to replace the stock clutch? Thanks

Drive clutch (motor clutch)? Or driven clutch (transaxle clutch)?

You can use any Club Car DS drive clutch from 1988-up. Drive clutches are non-directional. You'll see online that many cart retailers will list older drive clutches from 1988-1996, and then newer ones from 1997-up. But there's no operational difference. One of our guys broke down the internal parts for both, and the only difference was that the 1997-up drive clutches have little red plastic plugs in the threaded holes around the middle.

The only difference in the drive clutch is which side the put the anti-rattle clips under the clutch buttons.
And the Key start carts use a stiffer spring the a pedal start cart.

Look around on Ebay, Amazon, etc. The aftermarket clutches they sell seem to work fine.
