Adjusting governor to not hit rev limiter
I have a 2008 precedent fe350. Once the cart reaches24-25 mph the rev limiter will kick in. I’m adjusting the small “shaft”(for lack of better words) on the governor to attempt to get it to stop just before the rev limiter. I can’t seem to get it adjusted right. With small adjustment it either goes 25 and hits rev limiter or 14 and does not. I’ve been reading about the zip tie on the spring. Am I doing the same adjustment with turning the adjustment screw/shaft as the zip tie does on the spring?? I’d rather get it adjusted the reach just under the rev limiter by the adjustment screw in the rear of possible. Anyone with experience messing with both thanks!

Re: Adjusting governor to not hit rev limiter
It only takes the tiniest amount of adjustment to make the difference. I adjust all of mine slower and I mark the governor arm and the shaft first with permanent marker so I have a reference. 2-3 degrees of rotation is all it takes.
