Cc ds 290 connecting rod torque
What is the correct way to torque the connecting rod bolts in a cc ds 290 engine. I have the torque value but not enough room to put torque wrench in there to torque bolts down. There is a simple solution, i am just overlooking it. I have a 3/8 torque wrench and a beam 3/8 torque wrench.
Thanks for any input. |

Re: Cc ds 290 connecting rod torque
You just have to rotate the motor to where it fits. Snap-on 1/4" digital torque wrench fits fine and goes to 20 ft lbs

Yeah, the 3/8" drive is probably the reason. Buy or borrow a 1/4" drive and you should be fine.
