Re: 2015 Club Car Precedent Gas transaxle issue
Does look like there is supposed to be a thrust washer between the outer gear (governor drive gear) and the second gear in your pic. If that second gear is able to slide <----> on the shaft there is definitely something missing.
I can't tell from the diagram if the washer is supposed to be plastic/nylon, but I'm pretty sure the older Kawasaki axles had some nylon thrust washers in the same location. The closest manual I have to that one for parts is 2010 which should be similar, but 5 years is a lot of time for something to change. Get in touch with David Hicks at Revolution Golf Cars, and get his take on it. If you need any parts he can order straight from Club Car and ship them to you. Or you can probably ship the input shaft assembly to him and have him disassemble it and repair. You will need a press to remove the outer bearing and possibly the outer drive gear. The outer bearing will need to be replaced along with the missing thrust washer(s). |

Thanks a ton, that gear does float a bit so definitely something missing. I will give him a call. Thanks again.

Oh yeah, look at the spacing on the left between that gear and the shaft. The only thing you must figure is why is that gap there. haha (I know I'm a genius right)
Is it possible that the bearing on the right side is not fully pressed on the shaft thus allowing the gears to walk? I can't tell by the pictures. |

Good point, the bearing and shaft are flush so I don't think so but this is my first time inside one of these so I'm not sure really.
