I did a little more testing. I checked the voltage at the batteries, its 51v. Also, 50.5v at the pedal stop switch. 50.5 at the key switch. 50.7 at the solenoid. I also measured the total battery voltage while engaging the accelerator pedal and no drop in battery voltage.

I had similar issues and chased it down to the brushes. Been fine all summer since replacing them
