Default 91 2 Stroke Carb Adjustment

Greetings, I'm new to the site and new to the Golf Cart addiction as I just purchased a 91 EZ Go 2 Stroker and ordered a new carb for it. I was hoping it would come "factory" set so I could bolt and go but found as I was going over the new one that the set screw was loose. My question is how do I know where to start with the adjustment? All the way in then three turns out? The new carb also came with a short small diameter hose that was not on the old carb, where is it supposed to go?

Thanks,
Shawn

Good question.I'm working on my first gasser and had to replace the carb. The small tube is the over flow or vent tube. It connects to the top of the carb. Right or wrong; I adjusted the new carb by taking the drive belt off first. I started the motor and ran at low RPM. While running I adjusted the Air/Fuel scred till I ran smooth. Installed the drive belt and down the road I went

Fleck,

Thanks, it worked like a charm and runs great. I noticed who ever owned it before me had the carb and oil linkage backwards, switched the carb linkage and got rid of the oil injection and HUGE improvement. Now I'm stripping it down for paint. I'll post pics when it's done.
