97 ezgo 295 motor & 02 295...
Helo all ......... I have a 97 295 motor...........i bought a 02 295 motor someone was telling me that the ignition box is differnt is that so? i just cant hook it up the same as the 97 motor?

MCI ignition the manifold will have two bolt holes in it if it is MCI. Somebody posted a pic here somewhere .... you should search MCI manifold or engine?
Or wait for somebody with more info to come along..... like MMT  |

MCI's weren't out in 2002. Just look to see if the exhaust manifolds are the same on both engines. If they are, then they will also use the same ignition parts...

2003 / 2004 models. The '03's should be a "mixture" from what I have seen...

Yes the Exhaust manifolds are different......... On the 97 it has a bolted on manifold and the other the head is differnt its like built into it. So what do i need to do to make it work
being its mci? |

Yea the new motor that i have doesnt have a cast manifold so how do i convert it to my 97 model as far as the ing. box?

You need a MCI Retro kit. Includes the correct igniter, wire harness and muffler
