G8 Redo Part II
So, looked at all the stereo installs here and came up with a little model of my own.
Had the 6.5 in marine speakers and did not want to cut the body to install. I really liked the install where they were put into the storage in the dash, but they wouldn't fit with the body type I have. So, did a little thinking and saw the atv stereo tubes that someone made for the quads. Thought why couldn't I do something like that. Used two 6in pvc caps that are used to cap stop and waste valves and other pipe ends. Ground off the logo's and sanded and primed with truck bed liner in a can. Turned out great! The stereo is a marine with cover. I put a toggle switch on the dash so that I could turn it off without running down the battery. Works great! |
