Default How do I remove the crank on a G14

I got burned on a golf cart I bought a couple weeks ago and now I am trying to fix it. The motor seized up after about 20-30 minutes of driving around and I thought about selling it and taking my loss. I later decided that I am going to take a look at it myself. I have removed the engine and started taking it apart and now I am stuck trying to open up the crank case. I have removed everything, including the fly wheel and clutch. I have the case opened up about 1/4 in and it wont budge past that. I guess I am not sure how to remove the drive pulley to be able to seperate the crank case. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Never done it but I believe you still need to remove the drive pulley with a special puller. Then emery cloth the crank up to the seal to clean it, then the case side cover should slide off. Be carefull here as you want to keep the balancer shaft in place as you open it up so you can mark the teeth for timing purposes.

Good luck!
