Backfire at mid range speed
my 96 g16 will run wide open just fine, but cuts out and backfires at slower speeds. Voltage regulator or muffler?

Re: Backfire at mid range speed
The first thing I would look for, is the air filter housing being assembled correctly. Golf carts need to have them sealed, or they suck to much air and run lean, and that results in back firing, and running poorly.
Could be an exhaust leak as well. |
