Clicking sound and wont run
Guys, thinking I have a bad alternator. The cart was running fine and all of the sudden no go - just a clicking sound. I put a charger on it and it says the battery is fully charged. Anyone have an opinion how I should diagnose this puppy......thanks in advance!

Re: Clicking sound and wont run
well even a clicking soleniod can be bad ........jack the rear up and jump the large post on soleniod if cart cranks over its the soleniod......sounds like the micro switch is good since you hear the clicking so try jumping soleniod......................

Shadowman, thanks for the response. Can you provide more details on what I need to do to test. Not familiar with the process you are describing. Thanks!

Re: Clicking sound and wont run
do you know what your soleniod is? if so just get like an 6 or 8 inch peice of 6 gage cable like battery cable and hold one end on each large post on soleniod than turn key on put in gear and step on pedal see if engine turns over if so soleniod is bad if not.....than you can try and rotate engine by hand see if you have a bad spot in starter or bad brushes but test soleniod 1st................................

Re: Clicking sound and wont run
Snowman, jumping the selonoid did the trick. Thinking that is bad, although now everything works. I've heard they can get stuck. Should I just replace her now even though things are working fine - or is the sticking thing fixable?

Definatly replace the solenoid... I assume it is an EZ-GO. They are notorious for this problem...
