Default is it a good idea to just mix my 2 cycle oil in with my gas

I just started using my amzoil 2 cycle oil in my gas tank. i plugged my line from my 2 cycle reservoir to my blower housing also plugged out my line from blower housing to my carb. i figured since i mixed my oil in my gas tank no need for the extra line from my 2 cycle reservoir. Was that a wrong move anyone have any idea??????

well you should don't want oil from the injector coming in while you have oil in your gas.It would plug up your muffler after awhile

correct you could even remove the oil tank if not being used. Also you can plug the hole on the intake where the line comes in with a screw and remove the excess lines to clean things up.

As to your question, this WAS the right move. The only way you'll know the oil pump is failing is when it does.

Just make sure (as mentioned) that you pull out the banjo bolt and replace it with a bolt to keep air from leaking into the manifold.

Also, correct mix for this is 1oz to 1gal - make sure you don't mix heavier than this or you can foul your plug and plug the muffler.

Hey all. On my 1984 Ez-Go, the banjo bolt came loose and fell out. I lost power and stalled. The engine still cranks over. I'm hoping it's not 'cooked'. Anyways. I can't find the banjo bolt anywhere online or a dealer and I've read this thread on just eliminating the pump and mixing the gas. Can anybody tell me the dimensions/thread of the bolt I would need to plug the hole where the banjo fitting went?

I'm not in a good trial and error position here. The cart is 200 miles and then 30 miles to a hardware store after that. Any help is appreciated.

Or on a longshot does anybody have the banjo bolt and two copper washers from their take-off that they would sell me?

Thanks,

Mike.

Lou,

Thanks so much for your generosity and effort. The envelope arrived a couple days ago. Sadly... knew right away that something was wrong. The front was punctured and the yellow paper was dangling out. The bolt was gone. The washers were still there. The next day I stopped the mail carrier who told me that the bolt was probably stripped out by an address scanner. I am super bummed about this.

I will be sending a little something back to you.

Again thank your attempt to help.
