The next day I stopped the mail carrier who told me that the bolt was probably stripped out by an address scanner. I am super bummed about this.

I will be sending a little something back to you.

Again thank your attempt to help.

Wow that IS a drag, but just grab a 6mm screw or bolt before you head up to where the cart is, you'll be fine (a little silicone goo on the threads will also ensure no leakage, btw)

Just make sure (as mentioned) that you pull out the banjo bolt and replace it with a bolt to keep air from leaking into the manifold.

Also, correct mix for this is 1oz to 1gal - make sure you don't mix heavier than this or you can foul your plug and plug the muffler.
1oz of oil to a gal of gas is not a lot of oil are we sure that is right ????

Yes that's correct 128:1 or 1 oz per gallon.

WOW that seems like a very thin oil mix. But hey what do i know I been working on small engines for most of my life and never seen a oil mix less then 50:1. But thanks for getting me set right about it. I am about to start a rebuild on an older 2 cly cart and seen the post and wanted to make sure it was right. Thanks again

On rebuild the first tank will be 40:1 3oz per gallon after that then go to the 128:1 1 oz per gallon. K

Hey all,

I'm going to go the mixed fuel route.

Lou, thanks for the offer of a 2nd bolt but I don't want to risk your hardware in the mail again. BTW I just dropped something in the mail for you.

I'm going to grab that 6mm bolt today and head up on Friday. Fingers crossed that I didn't toast the motor.

Would Red Threadlock be appropriate here?

I fixed another carb fitting with that. Gas hasn't eaten away at it.

If you like! won't hurt anything. That's the way I'd have gone also and NO you won't fry it. 128:1 or 1 oz per gallon and your good

Hey Lou,
Just curious on your comment about the 40:1 mix for a rebuild. just got done with a 92 2 cycle and was thinking it needed to be a bit heavier but only added 1 oz to a 3 gallon tank of premixed 128:1 fuel. I would hate to fry it if that is running too lean for break in though. Thanks in advance.
