Re: G14 clutch choice
Most people go with the comet clutches. I think most of the aftermarket clutches for Yamaha's are comets as well.

Re: G14 clutch choice
Hi all. New here and looking for a new clutch for my G14a. I bought the cart off of a golf course and they stripped a few common parts off of it before selling it. I need a clutch assembly (while primary assembly is gone) and found this thread searching the forums. I apologize for bringing such an old thread back to life, but I wanted to know if this is still the best way to go or if there is another (hopefully cheaper) option(s) now versus the suggestions made above back in 2008?

Re: G14 clutch choice
As far as I know Comet clutches are no longer available, the company was sold and the new owners haven't started producing them yet. If you look around long enough you might be able to find one that somebody has been sitting on for a while. The clutches everyone sells now are Chinese made Comet clones, had one on my g16 for a while and it worked fine when my cart was stock, but I wasn't sure about it after I lifted my cart. I wound up purchasing a new Yamaha clutch from Plowmans carts, cost a little more but I'm happy with it, thus far. No cheaper options available that I know of unless you find a deal on a good used one.
