Angry Shifter FNR experise needed.

Purchased this "huntin" vehicle from some young good ol boys. They have it Baja style and cammo of course. 95 Meadlist 4stroke Robin. To shift it to go you have to open the seat and manually pull the engagement lever to desired position...yeah, good ol boy's. Anyway, I purchased both cables, springs, washers, yadda-yadda (Sticker shock...yes!!!) Is there any tricks I should know before assembling. I already dropped the skid plate and removed both broken cable(s). Does that little indicator have to be in a certain position prior to assembly? 1 and 3/8" correct spring compression at the tranny? Need your "been there-done that" expertise anybody???. Thanks Bob

It's pretty straight forward. 1 3/8ths is a good starting point but I have seen em working good 1/4" + or -.
Hope this helps.

I agree with Scottyb Start with that setting and start with the selector in N you may have to switch back and forth to get it on but make adjustments in neutral

Thank you guys! I have it adjusted a little "under" and it seems to work but a little hesitant, have to give it a little throttle to engage at first.
