70s 2 cycle wont turn over in reverse
I have a 2 cycle ez go 70s model has the internal starter. It wasnt used for a year because wasnt running right. But I got it running today and now it runs good in forward but when you put it in reverse it trys to crank but acts like a bad battery. I pulled apart te shifter lever and cleaned the contacts with sand paper and contact clean didnt make a difference. Whats next????? Is there anyway with driving it in forward and using that starter a few times it will start working right????? Thanks for the help

Re: 70s 2 cycle wont turn over in reverse
Welcome Brandon It might help driving it but it sounds like a dirty contact some where. Hang in here and Racin or One of the old cart experts should jump in soon.

Re: 70s 2 cycle wont turn over in reverse
Just check your wiring connections at the F & R switch. Very likely the reverse wire has been removed or broken/cut.
