2 cycle oil
Whats your preference? I know it will start a giant controversy but it could be a good source of knowledge!
I like "some" Castor oil for the safety factor it gives, I'll deal with the little bit of build up it makes. This oil has 20% I've been using it for year in all my toys with great results.... Kinda pricey but ya only live once [IMG][/IMG] |

Re: 2 cycle oil
Klotz is probably the best stuff on the market. We ran the 4-cycle Synthetic in our Alcohol Karts in the 80s' and never had a failure(they ran well over 6500rpm).Pricey? It was $6/qt. in 83',when regular oil was like .50/qt.My Dad said No-Way,then we melted 2-motors in 2-weeks,we switched over and never had an issue after that. And I can still smell it(NICE)!!!!

Re: 2 cycle oil
i always ran klotz in my sleds i had one engine burn dow but that was because the oil injection cable on my skidoo broke so i imagine it was running way to lean and melted the piston. but my bearings were good still, possibly from the oil i was using? and it also smelled NICE!!!

Re: 2 cycle oil
As a kid I used Pennzoil in my 81 YZ 125 "first year of water cooled" I loved it too! worked great! I remember the old rectangular yellow bottles with the viewing stripe down the side
