Re: Club Car FZ340 Spark Issue
Could a bad ignition switch cause the cart to not get spark consistently?

Re: Club Car FZ340 Spark Issue
It's possible. Take the switch out and bypass it.

Re: Club Car FZ340 Spark Issue
I was afraid you'd ask that.
If it were me, and the ignition switch was suspect, I'd take it out and jumper across the relevant terminals on the back. I'm not sure off the top of my head which ones. I think, looking at the diagram it would be the one that comes from the fuse across to the one that goes to the micro switches. |

Thinking about selling the cart. Frustrated and sick of messing with it. What is it worth not running? Its fresh off the golf course.

Re: Club Car FZ340 Spark Issue
It sounds like you have the problem pretty well isolated. Sounds like a mechanical issue between the pedal and the micro switch. You'll need to get down under there and find out why your pedal mechanism isn't properly triggering the micro switch.

Re: Club Car FZ340 Spark Issue
It triggers the micro switch with no problem at all i can toggle the switch back and fourth to get spark at every time it clicks i get a spark but when accelerator is down pass the click then spark goes away. like something kills the spark right after microswitch clicks so as soon as i push peddle down to accelerate microswitch clicks(opens) with a spark then after that no spark, go to let off the peddle microswitch clicks(closes) with a spark its very weird ive bought 4 new microswitches and rotated them to see if maybe one was bad but to buy 4 new and all be bad i doubt that plus buzzer goes off in reverse and engine turns over so i know the switches are good.I think i might buy a new coil just to see maybe if its the ignitor thats bad but i took coil off another cart and it ran fine so hell idk. its a 1990
