new ezgo to me
can you tell me the year of this cart? I just picked it up and was wondering what the best mods are for this year. The fuel needs to be mixed...what is the best ratio. 50:1? The numbers under the dash are 390279 and C0486
thanks |

Re: new ezgo to me
I always run them 100:1(1-1/2oz./gal.). Stock is 128:1(1oz/gal). Ran my last one 4yrs,real hard and never had any problems.

Re: new ezgo to me
Im with pachanga90 100:1 mixture. I use amsoil oil and mix it at 100:1 and the cart runs the best it ever has. The HEI conversion would be a thing to do help the cart start better. A lift and tires if you want that look.

Re: new ezgo to me
I always run Castor oil in mine at about 20% castor and the rest synthetic.. well it's store bought anyways,, Castor will leave a film-buildup on parts and give great protection if you ever run it hard and needs it when it get's too hot or over loaded.

Re: new ezgo to me
Today I pulled the carb and cleaned it thoroughly, replaced the fuel filters, cleaned the air filter which was full of oil from running so rich and replaced the gas with a 100:1 mixture of Amsoil racing oil and premium gas. She smoked for a little until the fresh gas started running through it. Ran awesome. Next need to replace choke and throttle cable and fine some nice tires and wheels. Thanks for all the help I know I will need more.

Re: new ezgo to me
I want a little more low end and I see changing to a shorter belt will get me that. Do you know what the part number is for the shorter belt on a 1986 cart?
thanks |

Re: new ezgo to me
Before you put on a shorter belt, Try a new one of proper size You'd be amassed at what it can do. Also make sure your motor mounts are good! They can get soft and make the belt act long too.
