Default Put a Polaris rzr secondary spring on g29 clutch today..

Yeah I know the topic has you wandering. When I removed my secondary clutch a few weeks back I compared the oem yamaha purple/yellow stripe to a oem spring from my Polaris 800 rzr. The Polaris spring is black/ silver stripe. Both springs are team industries springs and are identical length. The difference is the Polaris is a tad stiffer when you compress by hand. So I installed the Polaris spring along and the difference is significant on take off. A lot peppier and top speed stayed the same at 28 mph. I have some deep ditches beside the hwy and I can climb down and out of them with the tires spinning now. Takes a little more rpm to enage but its nice and smooth and definately bites harder on take off. Best free mod I've done to the cart besides zip tieing the governor spring.

Put a lot of seat time on the cart today with my little son. The rzr spring has made a huge difference to the cart with acceleration and bottom end power. Im willing to bet if anyone goes to the rzrforums.net forum and ask if anyone has a oem secondary spring from a 800 people will let you have it for free just pay the shipping cost. I wish I would have tried this spring back in march when I purchased the cart. The cpp xtreme duty belt, cpp speed spring, the rzr secondary spring, zip tied the governor spring, and a little carb mixture adjustment it's no where near the same cart I purchased from the dealer.

I have seen similar results from the setup I bought from Plowman's. It wants to crawl real slow until you stomp on it, and then it takes off like a rabbit. It's great for reversing and low speed maneuvering, not to mention gobs of pulling power.

I've gone from barely 13 MPH to 20 MPH by taking care of the CVT system, and the zip tie on the governor. I can't really say if the airbox and carb jet changes have added anything, since I did the zip tie mod after the carb mods.
