Default Data Logging from an Alltrax controller

I want to do data logging, but driving around with a laptop connected to the controller is cumbersome to say the least, and there is the possibility of the laptop finding legs when I'm not on, or close, to the cart.

Basically, I'm looking for ideas on how to collect the data with a device that can be secured in or or on the cart and then transfer it to my desktop via a wireless LAN or flash-drive.

They sell little cable locks that are used to lock a laptop to a desk, for security reasons. Heres one:

Maybe you could make that work!

I think that I'm going to try the bluetooth option to connect.
This is the one I'm gonna try.

If I can't find something other than a laptop to log the data, I'll use something like that to secure it to the cart, but I was hoping to find a logging device that would fit in a glove box, under the seat or hidden in the bagwell or under the cowl.

Unless I'm misreading, that would be a wireless link between the controller and the logging device.

I would prefer a hardwired connection between controller and data logger while on the road and then use either WiFi via my home WLAN or a flash memory drive to transfer the data files to my desktop. If the data logger was reasonable small and portable, I could take it into the house and attach it to the desktop to download files, like I do with the GPS receiver I use.

The problem I see is that the software requires user interface to manually start/stop the data logging.

It would be nice for them to come up with an android compatible version of their software.

The quote in your signature block applies. I don't have it figured out yet.
