Default Cylinder head swap

I have a 1982 G1. This is the model with the lower compression. Can I install a cylinder head with a different year model so I can increase the size of the reed cage and possibly obtain higher compression?

You can. Any of the j10 model numbers. Just make sure you swap all the necessary parts. Few guys have done a swap with an enticer 250 with success (no needs for reeds). personally I had an 82 and decided if i was going to to that might as well do the bigger head. Then decided I wanted even more power and I am working on a installing a clone. So you may just want to look into a big block and save yourself some time and money.

You won't gain all that much compression with the other G1 head. Now the Enticer 250 head, yes, maybe 1psi more? The G1 cylinder and porting are really limited for power. I had really good success with the entire Enticer 250 cylinder, piston, head, and carb. That really made good power. I still have the parts if you are interested, pm me.
