Pull one of the 4 rubber plugs and you will see one of the carbon brushes inside. If the brush does not protrude above the metal piece it rides in, new brushes are needed. Not too hard to change. Also, STOP hitting it, you are doing it no favors.

Okay no starter or solenoid issues. But I keep popping fuses. Found a few spliced wires replaced them or taped them still popping fuses. Having a hard time narrowing this down. Issue started after I replaced the rear light cables now I disconnect the rear lights thinking the wire from 16- to the new 18 gauge wire was to small of a gauge issue still exist. Any recommendations?

Try an automatic resetting circuit breaker? Will save you money on fuses.

Ok narrowed it down to some accessories that may have had a split in the wire, so I disconnect everything and now the starter took a dump. So I ordered a new one off eBay for 130$ slapped it in yesterday now I'm in need of a gas tank since the original one I got with the cart was leaking and had been patched numerous times. Started right up though. Now to figure out the lights and radio issue and a gas tank and I'll be taking the cart out..
