Default What is it worth

As most of you know I was working on a 1985 Marathon for a guy . The motor needs rebuilt , new clutch , new starter and numerous other small things , the body is in good shape minus the horrible rattle can paint job and one dent .
Anyways he doesn't want to buy the parts to fix it right so I am gonna make him an offer to buy it and fix it myself .
What should I offer since it does need all that and of course doesn't run?
Thanks

$800 for the rebuild kit and parts you listed. Plus whatever the small stuff is. Offer him $300 or $400. IMO.

Yeah I had about $250 figured in odd stuff so around $1000 total plus my time for body work and paint . $300 is what my wife said too so she might actually know something after all lol.
Thanks

I just purchased a 1985 EZGO marathon about two days ago. I paid $500, I had to get the starter /generator rebuilt for $170 but other than that it runs without issue and the body is in good shape.
