85 Marathon Ground Cable
It has two grounds from battery , one goes to frame right at battery , but where does other one go ? Thanks

the other ground needs to go to the engine, just like any engine it needs to be grounded. Should ground to a bolt holding the cooling fan guard.

That is what I figured and where I put it this morning . But after putting the motor back in it now doesn't have reverse and sometimes you have to play with it some to get it to start in forward like a short somewhere.

The large bottom wire on the Fwd/Rev switch also connects to ground.
