starts cold but not hot 1998 Workhorse
I purchased a 1998 Workhorse last year. I had to "feather" the pedal a few times to start it, but it always did start. Started having more trouble recently so afteresearching the issue on this site, did the following:
New plugs, new battery, new brushes. Starts instantly after it sits a while, but not after it runs. If I pump the pedal, hold it at a certain position, and hold my mouth just right it will sometimes start. Several people told me it sounded like valves, so adjusted those using the technique found on this site. Still experiencing the same problem. Cranks fine, but VERY hard to get started. Where else should I look? |

Check fuel delivery.
Check timing. Check compression. Did you put in fresh gas? Try some Seafoam too. There is no accelerator pump. Pumping the pedal makes you feel better, but does nothing for the cart. Holding your mouth just right is a time tested technique. I agree with that. |
