Default new to the ezgo carts,intake manifold ?

I have a yami G2 and just bought a '89 marathon, price was just to good. It does not run, it will turn over. PO rebuilt top end and though there was a carb problem. There is a orifice stem on the intake manifold without a tube going anywhere. Where should this connect to and what is it for? Fuel gets to pump, fuel gets to carb bowl but plug stays dry.Thank you for any help and all the future help I will be requesting.

That was the oil injector. It needs to be plugged with a 6mm screw to make the intake airtight.

You will also want to check that he installed the piston the right way. Take the exhaust pipe off, and move the piston up, and down. If you can see square holes in the side of the piston through the exhaust port, the piston is in backwards.

As always CA's advice is great, But I want to make sure of one other thing for ya.....

I have to wonder IF the oil injection system was still being used and the oil line is just missing? Is there an oil tank and pump?.....

My point is;
Yes it's a great idea to plug the port in the manifold with a 6mm screw and eliminate the oil injection system, but make sure the fuel in the tank (and fuel line) is pre-mixed before you run it.

muffler is off but there is no way to look in port, it felt smooth on rotation. As i was typing I thought, vanity mirror. It was a little big but I got it in and no holes and it felt smooth. Does that sound correct?

Oil system tank was plugged by po. Cart was out of fuel so we put in premixed. Good call.

No holes on the exhaust side is good.
