Default St sport - gas

I am looking at an ST Sport to buy and I am wondering if its is possible the steering change that happened 2001.5 didn't effect these carts. The person selling it is a very trusted friend and he says he purchased the cart new in 2006 or 2007. But, it has the older steering system with three bolts holding the steering column to the floor.

I tried. I am only aware of the serial number lookup on the EZGo site and it appears to have changed and it wont accept my serial number. Is there other places to look up a SN?

do you have pics of the cart?
maybe we tell what year it is by the some other features
does the motor have a cast iron exhaust manifold ( pre mci)

Your serial number for your E-Z-GO will be on the passenger's side of the cart in the glove box on years '94 - present. The last two numbers in the manufacturers code will be the year model.

As stated above, a few photos of the cart will help and under your inspection cover ( the black piece behind the front seat) is another possible location for serial number

I have the serial number but the look up page said it was invalid. I haven't found any issues, I would just like to know a bit more about it. I am not sure who makes the engine but I assumed if I could look up the serial number, it would tell me.

the 235 start to the SN puts it as a 2006, the cart should have either the EC29 (295cc Robin/Fuji Twin) or the EC35 (350cc Robin/fuji Twin) - the engine code should be on a sticker on the timing belt cover. I've seen some weird stuff with the ST/Clays over the years IE: 350cc with 36deg driven clutch, Workhorse-Style Locking Rear Ends with the little 295cc as a powerplant - so the pre-2001.5 steering (while strange) doesn't surprise Me - in fact the same topic is happening RE a 2007 on another thread in the EZGO Gas section.

Thanks for the info. That's very helpful. The engine number is EH352CE. I am guessing that's better than the
295cc engine. It runs fine but I hope to increase the speed just a bit.

I have seen that steering in quite a few carts past 2001 so not unusual. That is an Ezgo serial tag so it came from them. Could be a rebuild where they take old frames and completely go through them and replace everything. There might be a serial number engraved on top of the right rear frame rail next to the tire if that is the case.

I agree with BrewCity, it is a 2006 with the 350 Robbins in it. Nice looking vehicle!
