Default G16 "Hot set-up"

I called Plowman's to check on getting a "Hot set-up" kit for my G16 & was told they won't be available until the end of August. I really don't have a problem with waiting, but figured I'd check in with you guys that have the experience, is it worth the wait or are there equivalent kits out there??

I'm pretty experienced (coming up on 13 years on yamahas), I can tell you this, there is not a single place on earth that offers more for your yamaha cart than Don Plowman. Not one. Who else offers cylinder head porting? None. High performance cams? No one. Custom made parts, he's got em. Experience on the engines like none other. Not gonna find it elsewhere. Way more parts than I have as a Yamaha dealer. I've got parts & experience, but you will find no one else who has what he has (if I cant find it, I'll be calling him). I'm not just "talking him up" either, I already know when I cant find parts from the factory anymore, that's where I'd be looking. (He also has stock of parts that havent been available for a long time). He is well known as "the guy to talk to" , and has a good reputation of customer service like none other.

I honestly look at Don while I want to be "the best service in my region". And that's no lie!
I'd like to be "number one", but I'm a bit behind the champ.

You wont go wrong by waiting

(And I cant get anything faster from Yamaha, or from him than you could get from him, we are both yamaha dealers, so dont blow up my "mailbox" either)

There is no equivalent. I've has the Hot Setup for several years. First on a G22, moved it to a G16, and finally to my G11 Yamahauler, with the Plowmans built 301 and ported head. Couldn't be happier.

Check out Don's overdrive clutch combo. It's sweet.

The good thing about Plowman's is they test and use everything they sell, the parts are "proven performers". Don's race heritage and knowledge of two strokes alone is amazing. I've used his parts on numerous occasions and always very pleased. What really sets him apart is that Don has dedicated himself to Yamaha. Maybe he works on other stuff here and there, I don't know, but he's a Yamaha specialist. And he's worked on every Yamaha cart there is. So when one of us "enthusiasts" runs into something we can't figure out, rest assured Don has already seen it, probably two dozen times lol. Good guy. Always willing to talk and help. Not always just about selling parts.
