Default marathon axle swap

I remember reading about a rear axle upgrade on this forum before I ever joined and now I cant find it. I have been thinking of doing away with the atv axle under my marathon (was originally gas anyway)and going back to a rear differential since I keep popping chains. I will be running a horizontal shaft motor so that being said, what axle should I use? will there be a way to have reverse? thanks in advance. Pics would be great to

The 4-stroke marathons used the ME29 transaxle made by Fuji. It has the reversing gear built in.
There are two different setups for the ME29. One has leaf springs, and the other has the saddles for the marathon shocks and springs. The leaf spring unit is about 1-1/2" narrower.

There is a shift lever on the front of the transaxle. Reversing is done inside the gearbox.

live axle will do until then. Wouldn't happen to have a good cvt clutch recommendation that works with a jackshaft would you?

a gas 4 stroke txt axle me29 is what you want. i have done this exact mod. cut off the mounts off the existing marathon axle cut off the txt shock bolt thing welded in. weld on the mounting tabs off the marathon onto the me29 axle ill take some pictures!. if you can find one for 350-400$ thats a steal!. most are 700-1000$ heads up. i got one in perfect condition from a member on here waited a whole yr till i found the right one plus you will need to make custom engine mounts have all the txt f/r switches setup ,custom fab brake mounts, buy rear wheel spacers as the me29 axle is narrower than the marathon considerably
