a local cart shop has an ezgo axle that they say has a shifter on it but it may be a governer. they have no idea what it is out of and it has been there before all the current employees started. What do I need to look for to make sure it is the right axle?

also is it safe to go ahead and purchase clutches, im going to need them regardless right? 1" drive 3/4" driven?

I bought one from NoBuckBuild not too long ago. I still have to install it. It has brakes and everything even the controller. You will need the controller also (manual with cables, not electric).
